Teen Sex Addiction Treatment Program

Pine Creek Ranch was established as a result of increased cases of teen sex addiction, teen porn addiction and the very serious need for teen sexual addiction treatment. The Pine Creek therapeutic program is designed to be a program of completion, not a program of time. Within society, the legal system provides consequences of “time” behind bars with no requirement for competency or proof you’ve learned anything. The education system provides “time” in class with learning opportunities and testing, but minimal efforts to insure competency and mastery. At Pine Creek Ranch, the students must show competency in their therapeutic endeavors as well as educational efforts.

Students are involved in group therapy, individual therapy, and family therapy, provided by licensed mental health providers with specialty training in sexual issues.

Pine Creek Ranch teen sex addiction treatment utilizes a Two Level System in order to positively motivate our clients to make changes, as well as to create and maintain a therapeutic community. The level system is based upon both the student’s daily living choices as well as the teen’s sexual addiction treatment progress. The privileges or restrictions a youth has is contingent on his behaviors both in therapy and his daily living.

The first level system is designed to address immediate daily living behaviors no matter which therapeutic level he may be on. The second level system is based upon the therapeutic gains the youth is making.

Structure

Structure means the client is on a “No Activities” status for a minimum of 24 hours of compliance. However, homework, reading, social skill development, therapy, and therapy assignments are permitted.

Both the therapist and staff may place a client on Structure. Before a client’s privileges are restored the youth must also have approval from the therapist and staff.

Residents on this level will wear “yellow clothing” that will be provided to them.

Dependent

Dependent is a “Conditional” Level, which can also be imposed on the client by staff and therapist. Specific privileges are restricted (activities, radio, going into the community, etc.) depending upon the situation. The client is given the opportunity to earn back his Level, no less than three weeks from the time he was placed on it. This is also based upon the client’s appropriate behaviors and attitude.

Residents on this level will wear “Green clothing” that will be provided to them.

Independent

All privileges are in place based upon his Treatment Level and Consequence Level. The resident is allowed to wear his own appropriate and approved attire.

Interdependent

On this Level, all privileges of the resident are in place based upon his Treatment Level. This Level is also for the client who shows leadership skills among peers, is highly proactive in his treatment, consistently challenges and supports his peers as evidenced by confronting and supporting fellow residents.

Note: Clients Level Status is listed on the White Board in the Common Area.

TREATMENT LEVELS

All of our students involved in teen sex addiction treatment will be staffed for each level advancement, and will come before the treatment team to report on their progress, what they are working on, and what discoveries they have made about themselves. Students will report on their specific goals for each treatment period and will receive feedback on their therapeutic participation as well as their behaviors in the group home, in the community, and while on visits. This will also allow the student to address any concerns he may have about his therapy and daily living.
